The Voice

Jesus: ³⁴ You know what is written in the Scriptures. Doesn’t it read, “I said, you are gods”?^{[a] 35} If the Scriptures called your ancestors (mere mortals) gods to whom the word of God came—and the Scriptures cannot be set aside— ³⁶ what should you call One who is unique, sanctified by and sent from the Father into the world? I have said, “I am God’s Son.” How can you call that blasphemy?
